Unfortunately, the Ruby Van Meter fax has not been consistently working since the January 2023 cyber attack. You may try to fax information, but please call the RVM office at 515-242-8220 to find out if your information made it to us. You may also choose to send information via ‘snail mail’ or email.

Summer office hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. If you get the answering machine during office hours, we may be at a meeting, helping someone with registration, working in the storeroom or at lunch.  Please leave a message including your name, number and the purpose of your call; someone will get back to you.

School year office hours are 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM Monday through Friday. If you get the answering machine during office hours, we may be having an emergency drill.  Please leave a message including your name, number and the purpose of your call; someone will get back to you.

The staff and students sincerely appreciate groups, businesses and organizations that would like to support Ruby Van Meter students with donations of school supplies. The needs of our students differ from those of students in regular educational settings. Every child in our building has their own individualized education plan, so we use few textbooks. Staff often create their own learning materials to help our students with creative, social, math and communication skills.

DMPS policy prevents us from accepting Amazon (or any other type) of gift cards at this time.
