New Jamboree Date Friday, April 28th!

The new date for the Ruby Van Meter Basketball Jamboree is Friday, April 28th.

The 2023 Ruby Van Meter Basketball Jamboree  will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at Roosevelt High School, 4419 Center Street. Doors will open at 5:30 with the first tip off at 6:00 PM.

The Jamboree is the Ruby Van Meter PTO’s biggest fundraiser.

Our event took a major turn last year when Des Moines Public Schools initiated Unified Basketball games during halftime of girls’ Varsity basketball games at all of the high schools. The Jamboree has become the city-wide tournament for the Unified games!

The evening will feature raffles, auctions, cheerleading and lots of basketball.

Athletes from East High, Hoover High, Lincoln High, North High, Roosevelt High and Ruby Van Meter School will compete for the ‘city title.’.
